TAX AND BUSINESS SERVICES ACCOUNTANT  - MAROOCHYDORE OFFICE


Clarke McEwan Accountants is a well established accounting firm located at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Our waterfront offices are centrally located on the Cotton Tree Esplanade, close to parks, cafes, Sunshine Plaza and the new Maroochydore town centre.


Our firm specializes in working with well-established businesses and professional clients such as doctors, medical centres and allied health professionals.


We have a new position available for a permanent part-time or full-time tax accountant to become part of our growing team. The position can be flexible based on your circumstances.


The part-time position may suit a working parent with flexible hours on offer around school commitments or someone experienced wishing to return to public practice on a part time basis after some time off with children or similar. The role will be for a minimum of 3 days per week and up to 4 days if available. The opportunity may exist to increase those hours over time or when you are available to do so. This is a long-term position we are looking to fill.


The successful applicant will have an accounting degree and 4 years plus experience working in an accounting practice undertaking accounting and taxation work for all entity types through to completion. Very experienced taxation bookkeepers with many years of public practice experience are welcome to apply.


Experience with the Access Handisoft suite, BGL360, office365, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Xero and Myob will be highly regarded. Experience with BGL360 or similar software and Self-Managed Superfund Accounting and Tax Work is required. We will also provide support and training in this area if you have limited smsf experience but are happy to put in the work to learn and become proficient in this area.


Our Firm holds a Financial Advisors License and we are resourced and licensed to setup smsf's and provide ongoing strategy and investment advice to our clients.


The role will involve assisting the Principal with technical research, and direct contact helping clients with ongoing tax and super advice as required. Staff also have access to a technical support desk for technical research and back up file support for client advice.


Whilst the position is available for an immediate start we are prepared to wait for the right candidate should you need to finish up a position elsewhere and provide the required notice.
